Vincett Heritage Farms

OUr Story

Family Owned and Operated

Our story starts in 1917 when the home quarter we reside on today was homestead by my grandfather Vincett. We now are on the fourth generation of Vincett’s that grew up on these breathtaking prairies and have the privilege to call them their home. We strive for sustainable farming practices including: no till to reduce diesel consumption, crop rotation to reduce chemical usage, and keeping natural tree bluffs to reduce soil erosion and increase wild life biodiversity. In a world that is putting an increasing emphasis on business over family we try to fight that shift. We include our children in the running of the farm and focus on family time.

Kiersten

Kiersten is our oldest and has lived in Calgary for two years after moving to ski with the Alberta Ski Cross Team. Spending 6 years in 4-H took up a large amount of her time when she was in school, taking cooking, preforming arts, and field crop sciences as projects. She is also pursuing a post secondary education at the University of Calgary for a double major bachelor in Kinesiology and Commerce.

Ian

Ian enjoys working on the farm with his father even though he mostly hands tools. Harvest season is his favourite time of year, expect that school always seems to get in the way of combining. In his spare time he plays provincial baseball, hangs out with his hound, dirt bikes, and “makes his truck sick”. He wishes to take Agribusiness after high school.

Maren

Maren enjoys a wide range of activities. She plays fastball, races ski cross, and plays every school sport she can. She also is in 4-H where she is taking sewing and preforming arts. Spending time outside with our dog Aspen and the cats around the farm is also one of her favourite pass times.
